A Prayer for Marriage and Couples

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the sacred gift of marriage. Lord, You are the Author of love and the One who ordained the covenant of marriage to reflect Your divine relationship with the Church. Today, we lift up every marriage and every couple to You, asking for Your blessing, guidance, and strength to cover them.

Blessing Marriages with Unity
Father, we ask for unity in every marriage. Let husbands and wives be bound together with a love that is patient, kind, and enduring. Help them to honor one another in word and action, seeking to serve rather than to be served. Lord, as Your Word declares in Ecclesiastes 4:12, “A cord of three strands is not easily broken,” may You be the third strand in every marriage, strengthening and holding couples together through every season.

Healing Broken Relationships
Lord, for marriages that are struggling or broken, we pray for Your healing touch. Bring forgiveness where there has been hurt, reconciliation where there has been separation, and restoration where trust has been broken. Soften hearts that have grown hard, and reignite the spark of love that may have faded. Remind couples that with You, nothing is impossible, and that Your grace is sufficient for every trial.

Protection Over Marriages
Heavenly Father, we ask for protection over every marriage. Shield them from the attacks of the enemy, who seeks to sow discord and division. Guard their hearts and minds from temptation, bitterness, and selfishness. Instead, fill their homes with peace, joy, and the fruit of the Spirit. Let Your Word and Your presence be the foundation upon which their lives together are built.

Strengthening Their Love
Lord, teach couples to love as You love—with a sacrificial and unconditional love. Help them to grow in grace and understanding toward one another. Give them the wisdom to navigate challenges and the humility to ask for help when needed. Let their love grow deeper, richer, and more beautiful with each passing day, reflecting the love that Christ has for His Church.

Blessing Future Generations
Father, may the love and commitment of these marriages leave a legacy for future generations. Let children and communities see the beauty of a God-centered union and be inspired to follow in its example. Raise up strong families rooted in Your truth and love, so that Your glory may be seen in the world through their testimony.

Encouragement for Every Season
Lord, for the newlyweds filled with hope and excitement, bless their beginnings. For couples who have weathered decades together, bless their endurance and faithfulness. For those in the valleys of struggle, bless them with hope and strength. For every season of marriage, let Your love be their guide, their comfort, and their greatest joy.

A Covenant That Reflects You
Finally, Lord, may every marriage reflect Your covenantal love. Let husbands and wives demonstrate grace, patience, and selflessness, showing the world what it means to be loved by You. Help them to prioritize their relationship with You, knowing that as they draw closer to You, they will draw closer to one another.

We thank You for the gift of marriage, and we entrust every couple into Your loving hands. May their lives together bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer for More Love in the World

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this world to You in prayer. Lord, we know that Your very essence is love. You are the God who loves unconditionally, who gave Your only Son so that we might be saved. Today, Lord, we cry out for more love in the world—a love that transcends borders, bridges divisions, and heals the brokenhearted.

Transform Hearts with Your Love:
Father, we ask that You transform hearts with the power of Your divine love. Take the hardness of hatred, bitterness, and anger, and replace it with compassion, forgiveness, and grace. Remove the walls of division—be they racial, cultural, or political—and unite us as one human family under the banner of Your love. Lord, let Your Spirit move mightily in every corner of this earth, stirring hearts to love as You love.

Teach Us to Love Like Jesus:
Lord Jesus, You are the perfect example of sacrificial love. You loved without limits, reaching out to the outcast, the broken, and even those who opposed You. Teach us to love like You—to love our enemies, to forgive those who have wronged us, and to serve others selflessly. Help us to see the people around us through Your eyes, valuing each life as precious and worthy of love. Let Your love be the lens through which we view the world.

Bring Love into Families and Communities:
Lord, we pray for more love in our families and communities. Heal the rifts in relationships that have been torn apart by misunderstanding, pride, and pain. Restore unity between parents and children, siblings, and spouses. Let every home be a sanctuary of love, where kindness and patience are practiced daily. Expand this love to our neighborhoods and communities, making them places where generosity and care abound.

Replace Hatred with Love:
Father, we ask You to uproot hatred wherever it has taken root—in our societies, in our institutions, and even in our hearts. Let Your love flood into places where violence and prejudice reign. Turn hearts of stone into hearts of flesh, as only You can do. Where there is division, let there be reconciliation. Where there is hostility, let there be peace. Where there is cruelty, let there be kindness.

Empower the Church to Be a Beacon of Love:
Lord, we pray for Your Church to rise up as a beacon of love in this world. Let every believer embody the love of Christ in their words, actions, and attitudes. Help us to be known not by our doctrines or buildings, but by the way we love one another. As Your Word says in John 13:35, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” May we, Your Church, lead by example, showing the world what it means to live in love and unity.

Send Love to the Brokenhearted:
Heavenly Father, we lift up those who feel unloved, unseen, and forgotten. Wrap them in Your arms and remind them that Your love never fails. Be near to the lonely, the grieving, and the oppressed. Whisper to their hearts that they are cherished by You. Use us, Lord, as instruments of Your love, so that no one feels abandoned or alone. Let us be Your hands and feet, carrying Your love to the lost and hurting.

A Revival of Love:
Lord, we ask for a revival of love across the nations. Let it sweep through governments, schools, workplaces, and communities. Break down the barriers of pride and selfishness that keep us from loving one another. Let love be the anthem of this generation—a love that is pure, selfless, and rooted in You. Fill every corner of this world with the kind of love that can only come from Heaven.

Fill Us with Your Love:
Father, we know that we cannot give what we do not have. Fill us with Your love, so that we may pour it out to others. As we spend time in Your presence, let us be transformed by Your love. Let it overflow from our hearts into every interaction, every relationship, and every circumstance. Teach us to love even when it is difficult, to forgive even when it hurts, and to give even when it costs us something.

A World Reflecting Heaven:
Lord, it is our prayer that this world would begin to reflect Heaven, where love reigns supreme. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. May Your love saturate this earth, so that every nation, every tribe, and every tongue may experience its power. Let love be the language we speak, the action we take, and the legacy we leave.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your everlasting love. We thank You that nothing can separate us from it—not death, not life, not angels, not demons, not the past, nor the future. Your love is unshakable, unfathomable, and unending. May it flow through us and transform this world. Lord, let us be ambassadors of Your love, carrying its light into every dark place.

We ask all these things in the mighty, matchless, and merciful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer for the Children of the World

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up the children of the world to Your loving care. Lord, You are the Creator of every child, knitting each one together in the womb and declaring them fearfully and wonderfully made. Today, we pray for Your divine protection, provision, and purpose over the lives of every child on this earth.

Protection for the Vulnerable
Father, we ask that You wrap every vulnerable child in Your arms of safety. Shield them from harm, abuse, neglect, and danger. Dispatch Your angels to guard them in every corner of the world, whether they are in refugee camps, orphanages, war zones, or unsafe homes. Where there is fear, replace it with peace. Where there is danger, provide refuge. Be their defender, their protector, and their hope.

Provision for the Needy
Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, we ask that You supply the needs of children who are hungry, homeless, and lacking the basic necessities of life. Open the floodgates of Your resources, raising up compassionate individuals, families, and organizations to meet their needs. Lord, let no child go to bed hungry or wake up hopeless. Let Your love flow through those who have the ability to give, and stir their hearts to act with generosity and grace.

Healing for the Brokenhearted
Jesus, You are the Healer of the brokenhearted, and we lift up to You the children who are suffering emotionally, physically, or spiritually. For those who feel abandoned, remind them that You are a Father to the fatherless. For those enduring pain, bring Your healing touch. For those who are weary from grief or trauma, restore their joy and innocence. Let their wounds, seen and unseen, be mended by Your loving hand.

Guidance for Their Steps
Lord, we ask that You guide the steps of every child and lead them along the path of righteousness. Give them wisdom beyond their years and discernment in their choices. Plant seeds of faith in their hearts, and let them grow into mighty trees of righteousness. Surround them with godly mentors, teachers, and friends who will encourage them to walk in Your truth. Protect them from the lies of the enemy and the temptations of the world, and keep their hearts pure and steadfast.

Blessing and Purpose
Father, we declare that every child is created with a divine purpose. Help them to discover and fulfill the plans You have for their lives, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them a future and a hope. Let them grow in wisdom and stature, in favor with God and man. May they become leaders, peacemakers, and influencers for good in their generation.

Uniting the Global Church
Lord, ignite the hearts of Your Church to rise up in advocacy for children everywhere. Let us be the hands and feet of Jesus, standing against injustice, fighting for their well-being, and championing their causes. Give us the courage to speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves and to act on behalf of those who are most vulnerable. Let the Church be a refuge, a place of hope and healing for children and their families.

An Outpouring of Your Spirit
Holy Spirit, we ask for an outpouring of Your presence over every child. Fill them with Your love, Your peace, and Your joy. Let them know they are never alone because You are always with them. Empower them with the boldness to shine as lights in the world, even in the midst of darkness. Let their lives reflect Your glory and draw others to You.

Gratitude for Your Faithfulness
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for loving each child even more than we can imagine. Your faithfulness has no end, and we trust that You are already working in their lives, bringing hope, healing, and transformation.

We commit every child into Your care, trusting that You will protect, provide, and fulfill Your promises for them. Thank You, Lord, for the privilege of praying for these precious lives. May Your love continue to shine upon them and through them.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
